Rail Driver is not supported with the boxed product, however it will be supported in the NA version and with the first Patch for Rail Simulator.

Ah, so RailDriver support will come with the patch and not a release by P.I. Engineering?

A little bit of both.
We need to implement a few things to make the magic work as do they.

Well actually that is not a very helpful post.
I
don't subscribe to the quote from Walt Disney's Bambi where Thumper says "If you can't say something nice - don't say nothing at all." The UKTS forums do allow free discussion within the boundaries of the forum rules and in particular the provisions of section 3 about posting in good will.
However, your post adds nothing to the discussion and is entirely non-constructive. RSDL have given a statement and really further discussion is not really needed. Posts saying you will stick to Trainz don't help anyone wanting to run raildrivers with RS.

Actually, surely it (in so many words) says that having RailDriver support is something that will make that particular user (and perhaps many more?) buy the game. However, I do see your point on the post (in essence) being completly useless, but then again, there are so many posts like that, it's not exactly fair to single out this one :/

@easilyconfused; im quite a stubborn so and so, and i guess i really dont want to learn all the complicated things about this game, but the raildriver will certainly tempt me to play RS,
i just found it really anoying that it wasnt out of the box
imagine (a) *flight simulator being released without yoke, pedals and throttle support... or even joystick?
edit*
edit2: @petermakosch they have it in for me here at UKTS

I can understand all three of you.
A) "I'm sticking with X" posts are really wearing you out by now.
B) It is true that they were greatly tolerated for a long time.
C) I can understand how some people still find them innocent or funny, even if I don't share their opinion.
The best way forward would be some sticky saying "please refrain from posting what sim you use instead of KRS and how much you desire feature that are not there, until end of January, at least. -- the moderators." Then it would be clearer to all that now we try to be constructive now. Most people posting here still are in that mood anyway, so the moderators would not impose anything on us, and certainly it would be a suggestion.
This is not to protect KRS or the economic interest of RSDL or something the like. It is just that KRS is out for 7 weeks now and reading the same stuff again and again under all topics get pretty annoying. I am certainly continuing to criticise the product where I find something new to say, but at the same time, I would wish for a thread "What sim you use instead of KRS" in the open forum, between the weather thread and the word games.
