Problem with S&D 'Delivery Day' scenario.

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

Problem with S&D 'Delivery Day' scenario.

Post by earwigo »

When I first played the above scenario, after a while I got a 'game over' message saying that there had been an A.I. train derailment! Clearly I have no control over any A.I. traffic, so was stumped as to what the reason for that was. :(
I have now just tried the scenario again, starting from the last save and passing the point where the alleged derailment had taken place, and it is working fine! :D
Has anyone any idea what might have caused the unusual error message? Thanks.

You will find mention of a problem with AI trains in the list of reported bugs that RSDL are looking at. Not everybody has been affected by it. I have completed all the S&D activities, using both intermediate and advanced control mode, and most of the Newcastle ones, without seeing this problem at all, so don't let it spoil your experience of the sim.

Many thanks. It doesn't spoil my enjoyment of the sim! I am an S&DJR fan and just love to drive trains on the line. I have 'created' a train of a black 5 and Mk. 1 coaches, and have successfully driven it from Bath down to Templecombe. Doing that alone makes the sim worthwhile for me!
Best wishes,
Stuart.
