Package manager still dont work in vista 64 bit????

Is there any solutions as i have all permissions set so it should be working?

I have that problem in 32 Bit Vista as well.

Errr it dose work in xp well when i had dual boot up it did.

Nope, XP media. Turns out the problem is the unpacker creates a new scenarios.bin in the route's main folder, and the packager chokes on the existing scenarios.bin if one is in there. Not sure what the root scenarios.bin does, I think that's for free roam, because there's a scenarios folder with gobbledygookalpabetsoup subfolders that also have scenario.bin files, and sometimes you have a scenarios.bin in the root folder, sometimes you don't. Anyway, workaround is to rename the root file scenarios.bin to scenarios.bak, make a bat file to copy scenarios.bak to scenarios.bin to overwrite the blank one generated by the packager, with instructions for the end user to run the batch file after the unpacker does its thing.

Either that or wait for RSDL to fix it.

Best bet yet, see Mike "Magic" Simpson, over here known as Mike in Oz, author of the world famous Route Riter, he's working on something smaller and simpler to use for both developers and end users.

Little definition for RSDL developers who apparently aren't familiar with the term:

TEST - To try something out for the purpose of seeing if it works before sending it out of the laboratory.

Once I get the packager working, the uninstaller don't work afterwards, leaves all the code in that godforsaken routes.xml file.

I'm running Vista x64 and tried to install the green 47 from RSD's downloads last night. Running the setup.exe resulted in a "network path not found" type error and the new loco not being installed.

However, I ran the Package Manager direct and found that it couldn't find the default RS installation location, ie \Program File (x86) as it is in Vista x64 (not simply \Program Files). I could though browse to the correct install location then select the package file and it worked fine.
