lets not forget

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

lets not forget

Post by ged4246uk »

I my self like RS. My worry is if RS does not make it , which as had a lot of bad reviews on uktrainsim.

Where does it leave a lot of train simmers like my self lot of hope is on msts 2 . That it is a good train Sim I hope it is.But msts2 is to be on vista . I would need to get a new computer for vista which for me will be in 2 to 3 year time for me . MSTS 2 will be out within the next year or so. So its XP for me over the next 2 year or so as for what I have seen in some of the post its XP for a few of us and other rail simmers we don't hear from so I myself don't want to stay with msts 1 for the next 2 to 3 years. When msts 2 comes out there is going to be a lot of people still on XP

Could you please check out a spelling checker for your browser ? For Internet Explorer see http://www.iespell.com/ and there are several for Firefox and other browsers.

Trying to read what you have posted is difficult and may lead some members to simply skip that post and move onto the next one.
Kindest regards

Hi,i think a lot of people will still be using windows xp, in a few years time, also Microsoft is supposed to be releasing a new system about that time anyway,
The problem i,s that if you browse the MSTS2 forum,it looks like that we will be lucky to get any UK content out of the box, when i asked the developers if
there would be an out of the box quality UKroute and stock they rather diplomaticly replied that they would be looking to include some european content,
so dont hold your breath! but if the world of rails consept can be delivered, you should have the ability to build uk routes.
i should not worry about bad reviews on UKTS,i expect most people who have bought RS from there local store will not base there decision to buy KRS on the oppinions written here.

That's the kind of response that puts people off posting, plus it would have been better as a private message.

There maybe alot of people on WinXP when msts comes out, the chances are that it will be built around a dx10 graphics engine which Microsoft has stated will NOT be coming to winxp, so if you want the best from msts 2 and the graphics the only option will be to upgrade to vista as by then the bugs will have been ironed out Win 7 will be well into coding and xp will be a dyeing operating system :P

Thanks for the link to the spell checker for IE will help me no end after 30 years of learning spell i never got the hang of it :)

No it not the first time its the second time.As you can't spell to save your life.so if someone stop you in the street to fill in something i suppose you say or i don't have time to fill it in .And if you don't have laptop or pc at hand how do you fill anything in or just fill form's in with little boxes you tick

OK people - that is enough. As well as asking ged4246uk to look at spell checkers I also substantially edited the first post to adjust the most incomprehensible parts.

His last post is very good - no spelling mistakes at all and I could read it in seconds. The punctuation I can deal with. Nobody is asking for perfect spelling and grammar but readability is helpful.

No offence was intended - it was a simple request reflecting what I have been told a number of times by members - if they can't understand the post they simply move on to the next one. That does not help the person making the post if they are asking for help.

Well actually it is not against the rules. The post you misquoted was from the thread creator in response to a reply.

The original post (as posted yesterday) has been cleaned up to make it readable. The original poster is entitled to respond to people criticising him and at least one other member has been helped by the spell checker links.

Nobody has responded in a hostile manner so section 3 of the forum rules has not been breached. Therefore the thread stays open.
