Cabview Crash

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

Cabview Crash

Post by TOMMO79 »

I've managed to get rail sim running by going back to older graphics card drivers, If I try to load a scenario the game crashes to desktop, If I go to freeroam the game starts in an exterior view but crashes when I select a loco. Anyone know of a fix? Thanks - Mark T

It could be that the re-installed older drivers are conflicting with part of the newer drivers which has been left on your computer.

If you use an Nvidia card see here http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=16154

If you use an ATI card see herehttp://support.ati.com/ics/support/defa ... ionID=1447

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice, I've removed all old drivers and replaced them with ones that don't crash the game at the resolution test but I'm still having the same problem. Maybe I'll have to wait for a patch

Hi
Yes I have the same problem.
Haven't got an answer... could be graphics, could be sound , could be lack of RAM, could be lack of swap file.
Either way I've yet to enjoy the cabview in KRS, or the pleasure of being derailed at the first point...

Cheers
