Couple of Tweaks Uploaded

General discussion about Rail Simulator that doesn't really fit in to any specific category. A good place to start if you're not sure what category it should fit in to as well.

Couple of Tweaks Uploaded

Post by NeutronIC »

Hi all,

I've uploaded a couple of highly unofficial "tweaks", all done just using the serz tool that dripped out with the livery updates that RSD released.

First is a patch to swap the A and D keys around for us folk that just can't let history be history: :)

File ID: 17671 Date: 17 Oct 2007 - 1241 Downloads

Second is a patch that fixes the front coupler on the 7F - note, at this time only the default black one, NOT the prussian blue one:

File ID: 17672 Date: 17 Oct 2007 - 1062 Downloads

Please read the readme files carefully, there are important instructions and cautions.

I'd like to re-iterate that these are in no way official add-ons, they are not endorsed by anyone with power to endorse them, in fact they'll be finding out about these the same time you do. Install at your own risk, knowing that you may need to re-install Rail Simulator if it causes problems or you can't install any future official patches - yada yada. You know the drill by now folks, if you tweak it, and break it, it's yours to support :)

They work for me :)

I take no credit for the 7F fix, i'm just uploading it for someone.

Matt.

Shame isn't it that one of the first community uploads is a bug fix.

A useful bug-fix nontheless though, and a lot quicker than any official fixes. What have they been doing since the game must have gone gold a few weeks ago? All been on holiday? A game as buggy as this should have had a patch available on the official website on launch-day, like many even much less buggy games do these days.

Many thanks for this Matt, your efforts are much appreciated; there should be no more opening the throttle while approaching the line speed limit, or nearing a station and needing to brake soon.
