Hope the interview went well for you - that's going to be some commute on a daily basis though!
Just been formally offered the job - will be starting at the London office in a couple of weeks and moving to the Hengoed site once my living arrangements are sorted out. I'm really happy about this - my last job ended at Christmas (although I'm officially on 'gardening leave' until 10th February) and the lease on my flat runs out in April, so I was facing a lot of uncertainty on what to do next - with the job offer, the future is a lot clearer!

Cheers

12:35 Cardiff Central-Llanishen

14:49 Heath High Level -Cardiff Central
15:25 Cardiff Central-Reading
17:48 Reading-Maidenhead

House-hunting in Cardiff! Think I've found a place 5 minutes walk from Llanishen station (althogh technically in Lisvane) - if it works out, will be about a 40-minute commute to the new job in Hengoed. Looking to sign the lease by the start of March; will permanently relocate around the 10th of March if all goes to plan.

Cheers!

Oct 2009 142 Littleborough to Man Vic
142 Man Oxford Rd to Lime Street (on my way back to the manx boat)
For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it ;-)

When I went to Edinburgh recently (see airport post!) I went over the Forth Bridge, something I have always wanted to do.

Waiting for the train back to Waverley at North Queensferry, a loco hauled train came the other way only for my train to arrive at the same time and pull in front of me !

Would it have been this sort of service Martin?

Yep, DBS run 4 loco-hauled trains a day on the Fife Circle for Scotrail - 2 in the morning peak and 2 in the evening peak. My train was hauled by 67018 ('Ed Heller' with the special Maple Leaf livery); the other train was hauled by 67004.
