I agree with Laurie - Jamie's work will live on in MSTS and we will all have our own special memories of him.

Rest in Peace Jamie :(

*Speechless*

Never knew him personally, but I always enjoyed seeing his screenshots. Like these for example: http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 39&t=82101

Tomorrow and for the next few days I'll be playing his acts as my own little tribute.

RIP Jamie, you'll be greatly missed.

Though I've never spoken to the guy, I did see a couple of his screenshots before I joined the forum, and always found them more than fantastic. A terrible pity this has now ended under such cruel circumstances. :(

Rest in Peace.

I have only known him for such a short time, but i will always remember the brief time we spent chatting on MSN and the phone, his humour and zest for life shined through.
Im gutted for his family and friends and also the whole community, we have lost a man in his prime that cannot be replaced.
His work will live on as MTWW have some of most latest work he had intended doing for our stock packs. I will endeavour to get these packs sorted for release so his work can live on.

Night night Jamie......

RIP
Jamie Bowey

A beautiful statement Jon.

I too remember the conversations we had with regards to what we were doing. Its such a deep loss to a superb guy.

One thing that pains me is that just a few days after he died (which I didnt know) I got round to finishing the Class 155 he requested from me for some BrisCard acts.....Sad to say he will never see them

Jamie will be missed, and my thoughts are with his family and friends.

R.I.P :(

Suggestion to one of the mods/admins.

As Jamie was one of our popular posters, is there anyway a short announcement and a link to this thread could be put on the main site (ie under news/announcements)? Just for those who would have known him but do not venture into this forum. (I didn't know where else to start the thread).

I've not really visited this forum much at all lately due to one thing or another, but this evening received a message with a link to this thread. I'm genuinely saddened to hear of the loss of Jamie to his family, friends and the rail simulation community. Admittedly I only spoke to him on a few occcasions, but when I did he was very helpful and patient, and willing to help you with even basic things that you'd not quite understood first time round. The work that remains available on this website is a credit to his memory.

Like Damon I haven't been around as much as I would have liked to have been recently. I am totally shocked, my condolences to his family and friends

It's odd that the news of Jamie's death - two days? my goodness - should be announced today; because only this evening, I was talking to SWMBO about these people whom you've never met, and maybe have never spoken to face-to-face, but who have become friends over miles of wire through this forum or the work they've shared with you.

Jamie is the second one we've lost recently. May they rest in peace, and may light perpatual shine upon them.
