Be very careful!! Our Tracey can pack an awful punch!!

She's my partner in crime at Crich. We're the Events "A" team!!

And before any further quips, her partner can land a good punch as well!

A word of warning, In light of the events in the media of late, we had better be careful of any comments we make about the female of the species.

So in all fairness the females should not lay into men about "Man Flu" ect. then. I can not see any difference.

Good luck

Good evening everyone
Today I've got a grump with British Gas
I signed up just under a year ago to their "Energy Smart" on line tariff
My reason for choosing this was because it seemed to make sense
British Gas say never receive an estimated bill again and only pay for what you've used
My direct debit has been set at £44.50...however my last two monthly bills have been higher due to the cold weather
Today I received a message saying my payment is to be increased to £75.00 per month (This is for electricity only I do not have gas)
Now then here is my gripe...I checked my account and my latest bill and there was a shortfall of £63.00
I thought right I'll pay this amount so my account will be at £0.00 which it now is
However BG are still planning on increasing my direct debit to the amount stated earlier
I have contacted them saying I will not pay this amount I will pay each month what I have actually used
This seems a better way forward at least it does to me
I do not like owing money
Kind regards Stephen

I noted that with all my varied suppliers over the years the estimated consumptions were always too high as was the amount they wanted to deduct by direct debit. I used their procedures to report actual consumptions and challenged the direct debits. Recently however I found an estimated consumption rather nicely in my favour. I will have to pay up in due course but I would rather have the money in my bank account until the due date rather than theirs.

Good afternoon everyone
I have received a reply from Beitish Gas
They now say that they have set up my direct debit to pay my electricity bill in full each month
This is better than what was originally being proposed
I can now leave the sulking corner :D
Kind regards Stephen

Why oh why, do Americans insist on calling Football, Soccer. And also American Football is not Football, since most of the game the ball is carried or thrown and not played with the foot!

Good morning everyone

I've got a grump regarding good manners
A day or so ago I helped a member who I won't name
Did he have the decency to say thankyou.......no

By stark contrast I helped another member yesterday and he quickly sent a polite thankyou message

Obviously there are good and bad manners in society and these are reflected on the forum also
Kind regards Stephen

Hi Stephen,
I think what could be happening there is, some members think the subscription "entitles them to help and answers ad hoc".
They do not realise it is just an administration charge and those of us who can and do help get nothing from it, although I did once get a free month for help "above and beyond". Thanks again Guys.
I will go as far as to say I doubt they even realise that we (those of us who can and do help) also have to pay the subscription.

It's not widespread. I have been away for six weeks I did not post it (for security). I was pleasantly surprised and grateful to return to e-mails and PM'S enquiring after my health. It seems I was missed :o :o :o :o Who'd 'ave thought it?
So much for keeping my head down.
Good luck
Doug
