Not sure what the last two posters have been smoking or drinking ;-)

Tonight all is quiet but the Ronnie - the cat from across the road is sat on SWMBO's car so there will no doubt be a cat shaped mark where the ash hasn't collected in the morning. Waiting for No.1 daughter to get home from working at the social club but that will be after midnight so she better not let our cat back in since he will be sent out for the night shortly before we go to bed.
Kindest regards

Enjoy the peace and quiet while you can.
The noise of building construction work is surely preferable to that of chav from chav.

Is that wise?

When we adopted our most recent cat; one of the stipulations was that our best efforts should be made to ensure that he/she does not go out at night.

Not a lot happening around here at the moment - all is quiet.

Well the cat is now deceased.

When we "adopted" him it was simply a case of him turning up on the doorstep and the previous homeowners telling us he was a stray. We put a collar and tag on him for 3 months and no hairy man mountain turned up asking why we had put our address on his cat........ Shortly afterwards we had him chipped and took over all the vets bills.

A year on from the last update - the garage site is still undeveloped since the funding was withdrawn after the general election. So we have an empty site with a lockable gate so only those residents with access rights across the land can get in.
Kindest regards

Yes it blew up this way and onwards over Uttoxeter. I've never seen so many flashes per minute before. At one point the sky was almost permenantly lit up. Absolutely hellfire!

Hi all. Nice to see this thread put in an appearance again.
We have the gas main replacement project going on outside. It may take 14 weeks. I love watching work I could watch it all day.
Right now there is another 48 tonner and a string of private cars all stuck at the end of the road.
You see its now access only, single tracked controlled by lights, blocked at the end by a trench and diggers.
There are six large red and white "Road closed No through route" signs at the top of the road.
Now the lights at the top have changed again and another six are coming down. Oh dear, what don't they understand?

BT are outside, digging up the pavement, so I quite expect to lose my phone, and internet at some stage during the day.
