Continuing now to Bugsworth Basin
As mentioned earlier I took the left hand bend which leads to the canal basin at Bugsworth

Looking back towards the junction
Note: The footbridge which enables pedestrians and cyclists to cross the canal junction to Whaley Bridge

Passing beneath a road bridge

Arriving at Bugsworth Basin

The canal basin is just ahead

I sat down briefly here to enjoy a nice drink and quickly check my map

Another biscuit tin shot
One of these terraced houses doubles up as a post office

You can just glimpse the post box over the wall of this house

Bugsworth basin

In the final section We shall head back towards Whaley Bridge

Now heading back towards the junction and then on to Whaley Bridge

Once you cross the foot bridge at the junction there is some more signage

Heading now on the final leg to Whaley Bridge

Bridge 37A

Arrival at Whaley Bridge

Whaley Bridge Wharf

I enjoyed a nice pint of Carling at the White Heart pub in Whaley Bridge
Then headed for the railway station

I hope you've enjoyed this thread
Kind regards Stephen

Good Evening Stephen,

What a magnificent array of scenic photographs, thank you for sharing them with us, you've got a talent for taking a good picture I must say. I always envy folks who live close to a canal, or, river, however, I think if there are a lot of midges about in the summer months that would certainly put me off, I'm afraid, but, it wouldn't be too far to pop down the pub for a swift half every now and then.

Cheerz. Transport Steve.

Good morning Steve and all viewing this thread
Thank you for your kind comments
My camera is literally just a simple point and click affair which I like for convenience
Obviously though it does have it's limitations but has served me well
I mentioned consulting my map during the walk along The Peak Forest Canal
My map of choice is the trusted Nicholson Waterways Guides
By the way just to reply to Dave ref my resisting calling in the pub
Your comments had appeared in the time it took me to add more photos
There is a slight delay due to the moderation filter caused by the title of this thread
Not to worry though
Thanks once again
Kind regards Stephen
