Odd One Out

Post by markh5682 »

Here is a little game where you pick out the odd one out from a list and give the reason why it's the odd one out, whoever guesses the correct answer gets to post the next list, it can be on any subject you like, it doesn't have to be railway related, the list can be as long or as short as you like (ideally more than 4).

I'll start it off with this one.......

Antony Worrall Thompson
Fanny & Johnnie Cradock
Heston Blumenthal
Jamie Oliver
Keith Floyd
Jay Rayner
Hairy Bikers
Ainsley Harriott
Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall
Nigella Lawson
Gary Rhodes
Rick Stein

Who is the odd one out and why? :D
Regards
Mark.

Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who is the prettiest cook of all?
Why Nigella, of course.

"Fanny and Johhny Craddock"

because the rest are reportedly alive, and haven't had television dramas written about their lives!

I suspect you are right because whilst all of the others actually do or did cook, he writes about food, etc. in The Guardian! Unrelated fact is that he's the son of Claire Rayner!

Complete stab in the dark, but is it Dalston as the others are areas in Cumbria whilst Dalston is in London?

They are all on the Cumbrian coast line, except Carlisle on the WCML ?

I've a feeling that it's something much more obscure

Blimey, this is difficult, I can only suggest the odd one out is Workington, as that did have 2 stations, all the others only have one.
Workington North station was a temporary railway station constructed following the floods in 2009, which cut all road access to Workington town centre, and the mainline station, from north of the River Derwent.

Yep, its a toughy but you're on the right lines (sorry about the pun).

Historically, Workington had 2 stations, the town or upper station (long gone) and the Low or Main Station which is still in operation, Workington North was a modern temporary halt following the flooding.

However, the answer is not Workington, remember Google is your friend.
