I just hope it stays fine for the Olympics, not necessarily too hot, just fine.

Lovely storm here yesterday afternoon. Must have gone on for about 4 or 5 hours with almost continuous lightning and thunder. I spent most of the afternoon after work watching it out the window.

South London had a fair bit of stormy weather too, my family and me were on MSN having a competition to see who had it best and the storm here was wiping the floor with theirs!

It looked as though the majority of it was over Bath, but it was clearly visible from both here in Trowbridge and a few friends in Melksham could also see it, thoroughly enjoyed it!

I love storms. :D
Kindest regards,
Simon.

Good afternoon everyone
Many years ago I used to be a "carer" for a friend who was registered blind
He was absolutely terrified of thunder storms so much so that he once asked the local police if they would let him stay in a cell because he'd feel safer :o
Needless to say the police wouldn't agree to doing that
He even used to book into a hotel rather than stay at home although this was taking most of his state pension
He once told me that his Mother was frightend of thunder and that was probrably the reason he was so afraid of it
We had a short thundery down pour yestrday afternoon
Kind regards Stephen
