Basingstoke to Waterloo, and return, around 1966/7

Up, a brand new diesel, no idea that it was, apart from it was green :D
Down, a steamer of some sort.

Beyer Peacock 'Hutchinson' from Douglas to Castetown in 1979 (millenium celebrations)
For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it ;-)

It was ether a class 507 or 508 about 4 years old back in the 80's I hated it as with the windows oped in the tunnels it was loud we were all going to southport and I loved going there as a kid but hated the train, now I can't get enough of them.

Almot certainly a Warship from Paddington-Hereford at Christmas 1969 - I was 15 months old at the time so don't remember much about it! By the time I was old enough to notice, the Warships had been replaced by 47s with the odd Hymek if you were lucky.Other early memories are the Shenfield electrics (Class 306) - we lived in Stratford at the time and would sometimes catch one into London instead of the tube.

Probably a Patriot hauling the Birmingham New Street to Newcastle on Tyne service back in 1961. The first one I remember vividly was around 5 years later, when on a service that had just pulled out of Paddington headed to Birmingham, with the carriage windows wide open, being passed by another service hauled by Warship D816 Eclipse - I'll never forget that sound of Maybachs on full bore!

As far as I remember, it was the 'Hook Continental', Liverpool Street - Harwich Parkstone Quay in 1957.
The loco would most likely been one of the 'Britannia' class.
I must have travelled by rail before this, but would only have been 6 - 12 months old at the time, as we
moved from Yorkshire down to London. (was born 1953).

I've really got no idea - it could have been on a preserved line when I was a toddler (or younger). The first I can remember is a DMU from Lichfield City on a trip down to Stratford-Upon-Avon in the early-mid 80s. I remember we had seats behind the cab and so could see where we were going and watch the signals etc.

I do miss that !

Wouldn't it be great to be on, say, a 350 from Wolverhampton to Liverpool with that view?

I can't remember for sure but it was almost certainly a class 503 and probably between Wallasey Grove Road and Liverpool Central in about 1978 (so the 503 would presumably have been in BR blue / grey with Merseyrail logo).
