Many English people think that they are in Scotland when they reach the border with England.

Surely they are in Scotland when the reach the border with England, is that not what it signifies ?

I know where places are in England.

No idea where they are in that other country Scotland - similarly I have very little idea where places are in Turkmenistan.

It's more a case of that we are not taught where places in other foreign countries are

Mind you most southerners seem to have a problem with anything much further north than Northampton
