Don't think I've ever known such persistent hail! Plus it was pitch black at 3.30pm, made for some great bus driving conditions!

It amused me slightly to read on the web homepage that the forecasted frost etc 'failed to materialise'...typical scaremongering  Didn't expect the weather to take such a turn over just the weekend anyway.

Needless to say it looks a li'l frosty today.

Shouldn't stop me pottering over to the Great Central gala though.

Forecast to be colder than last week in Manchester - highs of only 3º compared to last weeks 12º! Inevitably this will mean frost as well, though at the moment there isn't much in the way of precipitation forecast.

Well, I must admit that the weather forecasters got it right for today, it's been snowing since 3pm here and Nottingham City Transport have just suspended ALL services as from 20.30 tonight, good thing I didn't go out...... 8)
Just as long as the weight of the white stuff doesn't bring the telephone lines down, we'll be OK.

Keep safe everybody.

So far so good down here in Waterlooville, very close to the coast. Wettish ground and rain/sleet started just before 5pm.

We have about 2 inches in Great Yarmouth and it's still snowing quite hard, Very fine flakes and some icicles growing on the lamp posts too,
Must be a bit below zero to get icicles i would think.
I've been to Eastbourne too, So what!

After endless warnings "not to travel" on Saturday evening in previous days, there was a woman on the radio this morning complaining about being stuck on the M25 for 8 hours from 2300 last evening. She was blaming everyone but herself for her problems!!!Typical of this country today I am afraid.

I think we've had about two to three inches here in the Pontefract area, but I haven't been out to measure it. :-?
Stopped snowing before midnight and the sun is up with a bright blue sky. 08.56 Sunday.

Chris.
