Was a bit damp this morning, but apart from that it has been a lovely sunny winter's day here.

Good morning everyone
Once again the roads and pavements are icy
I haven't taken Emma a walk this morning as the pavements are too dangerous
Please take care if you must travel today
Kind regards Stephen

I have to venture out shortly, I'm really not looking forward to it, I have had a couple of quite painful falls in the past so that makes me extremely wary when it's icy.

It was very icy last night; my car was properly frozen at 8.30pm - which meant I had to defrost it before I could go home from work! :x

Good morning everyone
Whilst it seems the thaw has started
The pavements here in Withington are dangerous
It has started to rain and this has made the pavements extremely slippery due to the lethal combination of rain and ice
Please take care
Kind regards Stephen

I don't think it has stopped raining today; puddles everywhere. The forecast isn't for it to freeze thankfully, as that would cause utter carnage!

2 minutes extra daylight every day from now on. It's the shortest day.

Good luck

Sorry to disappoint Doug, but this year the shortest day is on the 22nd - which means tomorrows daylight will be even shorter than todays!

Hi Geoff,
Because, the 'Shortest Day' is still 24hours 'long'.

Only try that out if you're sober.

Good luck

Spring must be around the corner. We have crocus bulbs appearing. And a wasp in the house.
