Not a sniff of it here, nor the gale force winds that were forcast.
Hardly a breeze, temp. slightly above freezing and a nice sunset to end the day.
Weathermen talking out of their backsides as usual. ( again )

There is local consteration at the prospect of *not* having a white Christmas here. The weather has been unseasonably mild, we only had the first snow in the south last week, and it's set to actually warm up a bit.

Was a bit white this am but didn't amount to much as too wet and warm.

Brightened up nicely though:-)

Good morning everyone
Conditions here in Manchester are quite treacherous underfoot and on the roads
There is black ice in abundance
Emma and I were both slipping and sliding and several times we both nearly came a cropper
My walking stick was even unable to support me
On the way home a silly female motorist was driving totally inappropriately for the conditions
She lost control of her car and skidded luckily no one was on the corner otherwise they would have been hit
Please take care if you must go out today
I'm staying in now in front of the fire :D
Kind regards Stephen

Hi Stephen

A bit of snow here yesterday on high ground and frost this morning.

I have this feeling that it is going to get worse :(

No snow here yet, but it is quite icy underfoot.

Good morning Geoff
According to the forecast the weekend is going to be difficult due to snow and ice
If they are correct the weather is going to improve from Monday onwards
It is the ice that frightens me
Damian said to me You'll go climbing Manchester town hall clock tower and yet the ice puts the fear of God into you
Kind regards Stephen

A lot fair dusting of snow around Bolton, though in my area of Manchester it is just cold. Not much in the way of ice, but the gritters have been out which helps.

Fortunately, bus routes tend to be high priority for gritters so my afternoon shift should be uneventful!
