"At the end of the day".
"At this moment in time".
Never a meeting at work went by with these two being used quite heavily.
As for on the forum, my vote would go to, "LOL".

Michael

When interviewing any sport's personality, it's
"Y'know"

The most bizarre I've heard is "Over the horizon radar"

One of the most common phrases I hear in the office is "what is it doing now ?" usually as the database server goes nuts or bogs down.

Hello everyone
One that pops up quite frequently is "He or she turned around and said"
Why not he or she said?
Kind regards Stephen

Obviously, it's obviously!
There's also "I'm on the train" - the mobile user's favourite.
Our management are always going on about "meeting targets" - rubbish! You either hit them or miss them - you don't call them up and invite them out for a meal!

Hello Ash
This sums up a mobile phone conversation
Never, have so many, been saying so much about so little.
Kind regards Stephen

I would go for "OK". I know in telephone conversations I use it over 10 times

My favourite one has to be 'Do one!'

Obviously a lot of those are used in the correct context, e.g right - opposite of left, right-handed, right angle, but I wouldn't be surprised if at least 75% aren't!

Not quite the sort of thing the original question is about.....but the most inappropriately used expressions I can think of...
"Are you alright?".....when used by someone bending over a groaning human form lying on the ground.
......"Of course I'm alright! I'm lying here for the fun of it!" might be the answer one day.
Alternatively....immediately after you've hit your head on a doorway, for example, and you shout "Ouch."...whilst you're staggering about in pain, some bright spark will ask.."Have you hurt yourself?".
And a phrase I hear far too often......"......almost exactly......"
.....as in "Its almost exactly a year since the disaster." But its not! Its either "Almost a year...." or "Exactly a year.....". It can't be both!
