I was trawling through books of journeys I've made in the last 5 in a bid to catalogue them all, but I've got onto The Station Name Game now

Piecing together the Swanage Railway in RW. Preserved version this time. Currently up to Corfe, just started adding scenery.

Wonder if I'll finish it before I push off down there next month.

I'm doing work on the Witchita Wheat Rail Route for RW, the tread for it died a week ago. . .

Otherwise, I'm fighting with my computer, slow internet. :bad-words:

I'm trying to figure out why the XP-equipped PC of one of my sister's friends is running about as quickly as molasses in an Iowa winter. As it's taking so long to do anything, I've got the third load of washing in the machine, the second in the dryer and I'm catching up on one of Katie's favourite series, Babylon 5. Once I've drunk the cup of Earl Grey I've just made to help me through this, I'm off into town to get a PCMCIA wireless card for someone else's laptop. Then I might take another look at the sluggish PC and see if it's actually finished updating itself... Really interesting day, in other words.

Watching two swans and six large cygnets fighting over some pieces of bread, six inches away from our kitchen window. One of the cygnets stuck it's head in through the window and nicked a slice out of my hand! :o

Just been outside with No ! Daut looking for meteors.

Didn't see any but I was losing my sense of balance standing there with my head craned back !

Saw a bat though!

I now know that a prediction of meteor showers ALWAYS means that the night sky will be cloudy or completely obscured. This has been the case for all of the last predictions.
