Hi all
For sometime now, my CPU is fixed at 50% when I open Windows Explorer!
When I quit WE, the CPU is still at 50%. Now I have done some research online after finding the process "ntdll.dll! Rt!Allocateheap+0x18c" is causing this CPU problem from ProcessExplorer.
Further research has narrowed it down to my trainset folder in MSTS being the primary cause. Exiting WE from this directory and after 5 to 10 minutes, the CPU problem is gone.
Can anyone offer more advice or suggestions to avoid this problem from happening?
Thanks
ntdll.dll! Rt!Allocateheap+0x18c

Re: ntdll.dll! Rt!Allocateheap+0x18c
Still having problems with this. Explorer.exe hogs 50% of the CPU for a lengthy amount of time! The state changes every few seconds between the following below:
Of all the folders I have on my computer, only the MSTS trainset folder when opened, causes this problem. It can take up to 15 minutes for the problem to clear. Restarting Explorer.exe does fix this problem straight away but I rather not keep on manually restarting Explorer.exe.
Nearly a year on and still no wiser!.
Again, can anyone share some insight into what is occurring here?
Thanks
Code: Select all
ntdll.dll!RtlAllocateHeap+0x18c
State Wait:userRequest
State Runnin
Sate Ready
