3. Non-Compliance with the forum Code of Conduct

Post by dkightley »

The UKTS forums are intended to be a safe place for people of all ages, i.e. a family forum, and users are required to post in accordance with the forum Code of Conduct. Failure to abide by this Code of Conduct may lead to every post you make being vetted by a Moderator, a temporary suspension from the forum, or even a permanent ban from contributing to the forum.

Any member of the Moderation Team may issue an informal warning if it was felt that a user had inadvertently contravened the Code of Conduct. Should the Code of Conduct be contravened in the same way following an informal warning, then a formal warning will be issued.

Any member of the Moderation Team will issue a formal warning if it is felt that a user had deliberately contravened the Code of Conduct. Should the Code of Conduct be contravened in the same way following a formal warning, then a temporary suspension will be issued and the user will be placed on moderated posts for a period of time on return from suspension.

Minor contravention of these guidelines will initially result in a warning, and may also result in your posts being vetted.
In extreme cases, temporary suspension will be immediate.
Further contravention of items 2a, 3, 7, 8, 9 and 10 of the Code of Conduct will lead to an immediate temporary suspension followed by a period where all posts will be vetted by the Moderation team.

Imposition of vetting of your posts and temporary suspensions may be issued by any member of the Moderation Team, in consultation with and the agreement of other members of the Moderator team.

The Moderation Team will review all temporary suspensions and where any contravention of the Code of Conduct is serious, the matter will be referred to Atomic Systems, who may change the suspension into a permanent ban.

Contravention of Section 2b
Any member of the Moderation team may, without notice, edit the content of any post where they feel that Section 2b has been contravened accidentally. The user will be advised of the contravention.
Should Section 2b be intentionally contravened, then the post will be removed and the user will be issued with a formal warning.
If Section 2b is contravened again, in the same way following a formal warning, then the post will be removed, a temporary suspension will be issued and the user will be placed on moderated posts for a period of time on return from suspension.
If there is a second suspension for contravening section 2b, the matter will be referred to Atomic Systems, who may change the suspension into a permanent ban.

If during a temporary suspension or period of post vetting, a user is discovered to have created a new user account or used an existing duplicate account, then the suspension will automatically become a permanent ban on both the original user account and / or the newly created user or duplicate account.

Note that should you be suspended or banned from the forums for any reason, you are still able to download either as a premium or non-premium member, and will be able to order CDs. You will also be permitted to READ the forums. To do this, simply delete your cookies (if you use them) to remove any login information and you will be able to view the forums as a guest user. Any suspension or ban is limited to posting to the forums, therefore you are not entitled to a refund of premium subscription, as premium subscription only provides for unlimited downloads, which are unaffected by any forum suspension or ban.
