I've only just moved to Uni (in Chelmsford) and so am only just beginning to rely on NXEA. This is a good way to please new passengers  .

I don't know the reasons why the strike has been called but it is obviously something worth striking about.

Cheers

One the last strike days the Liverpool St - Tottenhale - Stansted Airport service operated on time and was formed of 12 coaches on the occasions that I got it. I've also never seen the train so empty and this was the 17:50 off Liverpool St. So if you live at Tottenhale, Harlow, Bishops Stortford or close to Stansted Airport its nothing to worry about.

If however you want to use any of their other 1000 services you're a bit stuck. However a week is a very long time to walk out, not sure how many staff can afford to do that or will have the guts to?

I think on the other strike days they've had alls that ran was; the Stansted Express hourly, Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria hourly and the Liverpool Street to Norwich service during peak hours.

I think NXEA should sack all the staff that strike and make them reapply, like that other company (not rail related) who did it. Staff would soon work then!

Says the one who doesn't live in Stansted Mountfitchet.

I can confirm at on all recent strikes, 12 coach formations were used on the Stansted Express restricting them to only stopping at Tottenham Hale, Harlow Town, Bishops Stortford and Stansted Airport.

I'm not holding out much hope of getting anywhere should this go on. Can't say I'll be using the buses either, the stop on Cambridge Road might have had a CRUNCH :o

Just looked at the 'timetable' they are putting on and no services from Clacton.

And looks like no buses either.

I already prebooked tickets and a bus/train company can't put on any bus services.

Rather a lack of for Mountfitchet, 1 to London in the morning and 1 to Cambridge in the evening. :(

Still, A service of sorts to get to Showbus then. :) I'll still have to get a bus from Audley End mind you, could be worse though. :)

Do you have a news link or source for that?

Nothing as yet has been posted on the Aslef site or BBC news.
