I was at the London Overground station at West Hampstead, and there was a beauty stand selling perfumes, womens handbags, lip gloss, nail polish. We went to the window to buy a ticket, and the women there had about 10-15 bottles of nail polish, and was busying herself painting her nails, and doing her hair. We rang up LOROL and they did not know a thing about the stand at the station, what were they doing there. I would only take one commuter in a hurry to catch a train, to trip up over the stand, or one of the sale assistants, bugging you to buy their rubbish. Any thoughts or comments? I mean, what the :bad-words:
regards,
John

seriously though I wouldn't be pleased if I would of missed my train through her doing her hair and nails, She is payed to sell tickets and advise on information at the end of the day, Not run a beauty salon or make herself look good while shes at work.

I the process of issuing the ticket, she had to void 4 tickets because she mucked them up, no doubt she was thinking about her nails or hair.
So professional.

Although of course if LOROL allowed her to do this in a more professional manner they could charge her rent and help offset the cost of running a booking office. Much like the scheme on Mersey Rail where platform newsagents also sell train tickets. Although perfume etc is a bit odd
.
Well done for reporting it.

Well it produces revenue for TfL so what's the big deal. It might stop fares going up.
