Hi all
Its been 12 years today the 31st of may since the West Croydon to Wimbldon line shut down in 1997 Due to the tramlink being build to open in 2000.
yesterday iwent to take soem pics of the remains and there is not much left.

Yes how time has flown! I last took the tram from Wimbledon to East Croydon on a Sunday in February 2006 and it was absolutely packed. At least its taken cars off the road!

However, I found it a bit irritating when the tram was stopped for five minutes at Dundonald Road where the fare inspectors got on - but a group of kids were kicked off for presumably not paying their fare or not using their Oyster cards. Why not provide conductors on the trams: provides security and fares can be checked onboard.

Anyway good luck in making the route.

Sheffield Supertram has conductors on it, but sometimes it can be so busy they don't reach you if you're only going 1 or 2 stops (I'm not lazy :lol: :lol: I ony did it as I had to change :lol: )
