I went out for my first day working with NR today with S&T at Woking depot and we had a set of points fail, which was interesting for me as a student. The only thing was that the team could fix it for the time being but could not guarantee it not failing again as the signaller would only give us 1min to sort them out because of the train frequency. I think this shows that NR does care about passengers and does try to minimise disruption, it just goes unnoticed. Hopefully that set will have been, or is going to be sorted by the night shift.
