Hi
On Thurs 19th Feb Tornado is having its naming ceremony in York with someone called Prince Charles.
A Royal Train will be going from York to Leeds and was wondering if anyone knew what time it is due in Leeds.
UKSteam.info hasnt put times up which I guess is for security reasons

If you can't get it from your usual source, I aint telling you! Probably a bad idea to release confidential timings anyway......

Personally, if I was travelling to York on Thursday, I'd want to know so that Charlie boy doesn't disrupt my journey again.
Last time I saw him, I was in Swansea. I aimed to get to the station half-hour before my train to give plenty of time to buy my ticket (didn't know he was there!). By the time his train came in and us fare-payers were allowed back into the station, I made my train with seconds to spare (and nothing to eat on my journey:( )
The Royal train should be banned from travelling except in the middle of the night.

I will raid any station that wont let me get my regular service because some royal wants to close the whole place down to travel there.
They should just join the normal commuter buzz like the rest of us. Just because they are all imbred doesnt mean I should risk missing my train and being late for work because they want to travel. If they want to do so then they should do it like the rest of us and get to know the type of people they represent. But at least ill let them travel First Class...

With the Royal Train and Charles, have to remember once when Charles came to my town (Woking) via a scheduled South West Trains service. He made a speech about how this was a very environmentally friendly way of travelling and how he fully supported it, then he got into his car, which it transpired had followed the train all the way from Waterloo station

All you republicans might be pleased to know that the Royal Train was held outside Leeds for an ordinary cross country service to come into the station ahead of it.

I pulled into York on the Transpennine express into the adjacent platform quite by chance immediately after the ceremony. Quite a pleasant surprise!
