Got the following route out of the Route planner for Glasgow Queen Street to Dundee.
QS to Polmont
Polmont to Inverkeithing
Inverkeithing to Dundee....
What on earth is the Polmont to Inverkeithing service?

Re: Odd Route
There is one train a day from Kirkaldy to Glasgow in the morning returning in the evening.
I think it's the only passenger train to use the Winchburgh to Dalmeny spur.
Been running for years.

Re: Odd Route
Often on booking websites if I put anywhere north of London to Woking, via London, such as when I travel home from uni it gives stupid results. The one that comes up all the time is to get the victoria line from Kings Cross straight to Vauxhall, then get the slow train to Woking, which takes about an hour, or a train to clapham, then a train to Woking. As opposed to making a change on the underground and getting a fast train from Waterloo, which would only take about 25 mins. I have also found out that to get from Kings Cross to Waterloo if you take the victoria line to Oxford Circus then the Bakerloo line there are no steps in between the two lines there, as the northbound lines run parallel, as do the southbound ones.
