Hi Guys
I like the Class 158 because i ahve had many a comfortable rode between Birmingham/Wolverhampton and Wales
I also like the Class 350 because, even though i only rode from Birmingham New Street to Wolverhampton they are incredibly well designed and comfortable and i wouldnt have minded going all the way to Liverpool.
My Favourite Diesel loco is a Class 47 as they are 1 of the stalwarts of British Train Services in the 70s and 80s, i think :-?

Hi. I really like the class 377s that go to Portsmouth.
When riding in one of them I look around and admire the designers handiwork, they have got it just about right.

Normally I can't stand any of the rubbish that came out of Swindon, but the noise produced by a pair of maybachs means that it can only be D1015...

It's a close run contest between a Brush Type 4 and a Western, though if I was at my local station, and a Class 47 'Generator' a Class 52 'Western', and a Deltic (preferably 55021 'A&SH') turned up, the Western would win everytime. I've got several favourites though ...

Diesel Loco - 47, 52, 42, 35, 55, HST, any of the prototypes (particularly 'Falcon')
Electric Loco - 87, 76
Diesel Unit - 108, 120, 150, 185
Electric Unit - 303, 321, 377, 421, 423, any of the Desiro family, 504, 507/8

Quite varied tastes, I think ...

What kind then Chris? EMT, NXEC, Arriva XC, FGW etc? Or maybe the Metrolink or Blackpool variety?

As for me, I've no specific favourites, any kind of loco welcomed.

The all purpose Black 5!!!!!!

Can't seem to workup any affection for this modern junk, but if I was to pick something post-1960 it'd have to be the HST Ican't think of anything post-steam that has lasted so well and been so popular and efficent in what it does.

Ah, now I agree with the tram comment. How about the London E1s?

Or on the mainline, I like 45xx small prairies. (well, branch line, really)

Yes Glenn
They are very comfortable for the 4 hour ride trouble is there is hardly ever a buffet trolley so you cant get snacks and refreshments. However when there is a buffet its a very comfy ride and very enjoyable
