Its that time of year again...

...For the SVR Gala! I'm surprised that no one has mentioned this already, looks good this year. A Cambrian theme and 12 engines in steam. First full gala since the floods, with all night running returning after absence last year. I'm there, anyone else?

Just got back from the Gala having got there at 5am this morning :). A fantastic event I thoroughly enjoyed it, the locos were top notch with the drivers playing to the crowds. I also met a couple of UKTS forum members, (220389 and davidaward :)), good to meet you both :D I'm hopefully going to get some more lineside shots tommorow, cant wait! :D

Did everybody hear about 9017 slipping on Highley bank yesterday?
They had to roll it down the bank and charge at it with 100% regulator.
Apparently a signal was thrown into danger and they had to do a sharp brake.
Caused a 20 minute delay to the train me and my dad were on

I was looking for this topic earlier but because SVR wasn't in the thread title I never found it!
I've started another thread tin the Photography section but just to say again that Saturday was quite brilliant I thought and my photos are now on my site.

Cheers,

Paul
Please take a look at my photos of steam, buses and diesels etc
