Bargin books at Bluebell Railway shop (Sheffield Park)

Post by Easilyconfused »

Had a trip round the Bluebell Railway yesterday with another member of this forum. Whilst browsing in the shop I came across a brand new book on my wanted list. Cover price is £20 but the shop price is £7.99. http://www.alibris.co.uk/booksearch?isbn=9780860931089

This is apparently (according to the inside notes) a Chinese sourced reprint of the Colin Marsden 1981 book that is a definitive guide to diesel shunters and has a number of line drawings with dimensions of most critical parts.

3 copies were on the shelf. Now there are 2 .......
Kindest regards

Hi
Yes these Chinese re-prints are excellent value.
There are a few out, shunter book seems most prolific.
I wasn't sure whether Ian Allen's were aware of them though, I suppose they must be.
Paper and print quality is a little poorer than the original.
I've picked up about half a dozen so far.........still searching for the DMU books.
Cheers
Jon
