Line reopenings

According to an article in railway magazine not seen it yet a friend has 7 lines will re-open
2 of them are the Leicester Burton line and the Market Harborough To Cambridge line the one that goes the back way can't remember what other routes are re-opening but till I find out and read the article nice to see the government re-opening routes thats what we want

Dose anyone know what the other routes that are re-opening are

Good to see the government have realised that if they want us to go green, they'll have to stop throwing all their money at those godforsaken buses and spend more on the rail network...

Only one I know of is the Uckfield - Lewes line.

A lot of people want the line reopened, last I heard Network Rail had agreed to reopen the line. However, when that will happen is anybody's guess...

Yes Uckfield line was one of them

Makes a change to be talking about opening lines and not closing them, although whether it's any more likely (afterall, when ever has the talk of closing lines come to anything). With increasing use of the network as a whole, increasing population in areas with no rail service, and the desire to make green desisions, I expect reopening of lines and stations will get more and more attractive in the future, including ones that have previously been found to be unviable.
