This is true but new EMUs would have to be sourced to run the newly electrified lines.

What has me baffled is that i saw on the front page of the Metro a few weeks ago, Network Rail are only being given so and so amount of money, which IIRC was a lot lower then the sum they we're originally supposed/expecting to receive.

So im wondering how they are expecting to carry out these traction source renewals.?? :-?

It'll be allocated for future years. All that really needs to be done is that it isn't a cost driven excercise like on the ECML and GEML, causing long term problems.
