Not sure if it's in the right forum - because it's kind of about railway discussion...

Basically, I know I can use my Concessionary Pass on the Sheffield Supertram, and I can't use it on the Underground - where else can I use it?? Can I use it on Blackpools Trams?? Manchesters Trams?? Any help would be much appreciated =D

AFAIK you can use the pass on whatever YOUR local authority say, so those issused by SYPTE (South Yorskshire) are vaild on the trams, trains and buses as they have always been within South Yorkshire, but as i understand it outside of South Yorkshire it is only valid on local buses. So if you have a SYPTE pass you can use it on the Supertram but probably not on the Blackpool Trams (or others such as NET etc) TBH i wouldnt expect to be able to use it on others anyway, but if using the underground you can now get your Oyster card linked to a disabled person railcard so you get the cheaper travelcard rate anyway.

Well looking on the supertram site yesterday, it says that anyone with a Disabled National Concessionary Pass gets free travel on the Supertram

So it does, well in that case might be worth looking at the websites of other trams etc you might wish to use and find out for certain, the info I got was from SYPTE and they dont say anything about it (i geuss because it doesnt affect users in SY as its been free for a year of so now)

Well, the Manchester Metrolink site doesnt say anything about the English national concessionary pass - which is why I thought id ask. Ahh well - - thanks anyways =D

What you get is free bus travel anywhere in England between 9:30am and 11pm. That is all

Any extras you get like rail/tram travel or an earlier start time are funded by the local council and only apply to their residents.

Supertram may carry outsiders free of charge, but they will not be reimbursed for doing so

I know that - but what im asking is - does anyone know if it applies to the Metrolink in Manchester?? Because it doesn't even say anything for Residents of Manchester there either with a Concessionary Pass either.

As said earlier, it is only avalible to residents in an area, Supertram is clearly an exception.

On trains and Metrolink trams
If you live in Greater Manchester, you can also use your pass to travel for free, or for half the current standard fare before 9.30am, on trains and Metrolink trams in Greater Manchester.

This is only available if you live in Greater Manchester. You cannot use your pass on trains and trams outside Greater Manchester.
