09:05 Leeds - Glasgow Central

NXEC Run, and goes from Leeds - Wakefield Westgate - Doncaster, and onwards to Glasgow Central. Is this a new service, or a new timetabled service? Talking about it on MSN, I realise it might be a newly timetabled service - but cant seem to find it anywhere in NXEC's timetables on their site!! Unless they have it as a southbound train....


[EDIT] They have it as a Southbound train.... and then a seperately timetabled train from Doncaster to Glasgow Central...

That would be very odd. South from Leeds all the way to Doncaster. Then turn round and go north?

There is certainly or atleast was one from Glasgow that does exactly the reverse, (something like the 18:00 or there abouts) Glassgow - Doncaster then Doncaster - Leeds (they do announce at York that if traveling to Leeds change at York onto a FTPE or XC (when i last did that trip it was VXC) as that is quicker.

Looking in the new timetable on saturdays the 17:50 off Glasgow runs south to Doncaster (Arrives 22:17) and then runs north to Leeds where it arrives at 23:03.

As far as i can see there is no service that runs from Leeds south to Doncaster and then heads north to York via the ECML, allthough the 06:20 from Doncaster on saturdays to Glasgow does arrive ECS from the Leeds direction.

Edit: Just found the service your on about 6rdfar90 on sundays timetable ...
