Question about an unusual consist on ECML

Post by photons66 »

I was travelling to Stevenage today and I noticed a pair of 67s toping and tailing some crimson MK1 coaches. I noticed it first as we were passing it at New Southgate and again at Stevenage on the down fast. Any one know what this consist might be in aid of please?

There is currently a T'n'T 67s and Mk2 set running for GC as they dont have enough HSTs at the moment, might it have been that? Most of the coaches are Virgin and i think theres a Great Briton coach in there aswell, only time i saw it it was doing 100 or so.

Or it could just have been a charter stock move of some sort.

No, I think that it was for Grand Central as you suggested, JSReeves86, as I saw people on the coaches. It was nice to see two Cyclops thrasing though, not to mention the remaining Valenta-powered HSTs with National Express. Pity I didn't take my camera but that would've looked funny in my interview.
