I prefer the liveries before privatisation ie NSE, Intercity, Regional Railways, Loadhaul, RFD etc....

I wonder if jp knows he is talking about the 1920s - 1950s period.

Still, I also wonder what it may look like on a Desiro. :P

1) AXC
2) LM - anyone else picked up on the resemblance to IE?
3) EMT - the meridian looks like a young child's toy.

Well, I dont actually like the Cross Country now that it has Brown on the front. The EMT makes it look like it hasa really blunt end, and the London Midland Colour? Eeew. All in all, I still think the XC one is better - GET RID OF THE BROWN FRONT THOUGH!!

IMHO XC is the best out of a mediocre bunch. EMT looks alright on the Meridiens, but I don't like the front end at all. Will be interesting to see how HSTs look in it. LM is the most disapointing. After resurecting Green for Southern, I was hopeing for something similar with Crimson for LM, not just a rehash of Southern livery.

The EMT liv looks ok imho, the turbostars in the 'Connect' liv (the one simalar to the SWT Suburban) will be interesting when they appear. as for the HSTs i saw 3 ex MML PCs at donny Wabtec so id assume they are there ethier to get EMT Mainline liv or the XCountry liv, wouldnt like to bet which tho lol.

So what are they using on the 'Connect' services then? the old Central City Link? surely not enough 158s, thinking babout it my comment remains the same, the liv will look interesting on them aswell.

The Southern livery but with essence of the former LMS colours would do wonders for the route and really bring some much needed pride back into our railways instead of having such a horrible livery.

To answer my earlier question the PCs at Donny are those for XCountry.
Also in the current Railway Herald there is a mock up of the NXEC Livery.

Reading thier website sometime Next year:
...Meanwhile when the HSTs enter service in 2008, they will be fully rebranded.
