Thought the government banned Slam-door trains?

Not really - only if they're not fitted either with central door locking, or without a steward in each carriage.

Any news on this then? It's March now. So not long before the 86's are running on Kings X-Peterborough services?

Um, They are having more then 1 :) They are going to full 180 operation

At least it will mean that trains using valuable paths into Kings X are 1 coach longer, bringing additional capacity at a low cost.

I wonder where the 222's will go, EMT I assume as XC's 220's and 221's aren't compatable!

BUt this isn't Hull Trains. It's National Express East Coast.

I think evenone here is becoming more confused.
First Hull Trains: Current fleet are 222s and 86101 + Mk3s + DVT, and if whats been said is to be belived in future just 180s (displaced from FGW)
National Express East Coast: Current Fleet are 125s & 225s and in the future 90s + Mk3s (or some other LHCS) + DVTs for the London Kings X - York services
