I always seem to see at least 1 Class 60 in operation every time I pass Peterborough. I presume they do see regular use.

There is still usually a daily Kingsbrook - Lindsay (or however it's spelled) tanks which is worked by a tug. Head to Grantham and watch it do a run-round in the freight sidings

there are currently about 50-60 (maybe more) 60s running, they keep altering them about between storeage and matanince needs.
EWS deny they use them, but without them, theybe be more in the s**t than they are now
Plus they sound nicer than the sheds and look better,

EWS has a Class 60 as a Thunderbird for the GNER trains at Kings Cross, just to the side of Platform 1.
At the moment, 60017 is residing there.

My mistake, it's 67017
I did see a EWS 60 at the diesel shed on Saturday morning though.

One bounces through Loughborough on a long train of oil tanks at it's 'full whack' of 60 mph at about 1740 on a Saturday.

When I'm in the car park in Lincoln and a 60 goes past it feels like the whole building is shakeing. When a shed goes past it dosen't.
The 60's are far superiour to the sheds in the noize departement.

I've never seen one...

Ok, tell a lie, I've seen a few but only from moving trains, never experienced one proper.
I aim to rectify that situation in the coming weeks.

See them through Leeds quite often on both short tank trains and also longer freights (not sure what type, maybe cememnt of powder). Various liverys, EWS red, Grey with EWS stickers and loadhaul.
