I like topgear, but Clarkson was not to serious about of it in my opinnion saying 'wear a high vis jacket'.

That would make a great advert though.

Right,
I have had personal experience with Level crossing accidents, ie 2 of my friends and colleuges killed by the idiots who think the lights do not apply to them.

Yes Clarksons comments could be seen as distasteful blah blah blah. But to get the message through its what is needed.
I think the footage being shown sevral times in slow mo really does hit home.

Also im sure i remember being told that once the footage was shown on BBC the advert using it would be shown as part of NRs Dont Run The Risk Campagian altho someone has also said the advert had already been shown in some areas, however ive not found anything to back this up.

And remember RED LIGHTS MEAN STOP no matter who you are what your wearing and how much of a hurry your in and the size of the train and how much you THINK you know the timetable.

Aaaah, cool, thanks for clearing that up! :D

I thought they'd have used a remote control like they did with the 45 and the flask....or was that just started and left to run into the flask?

I hope it will make some people think about the serious consequences of jumping the lights at level crossings, I notice they showed the footage with the closing credits as well, with the message on the side of the 31 very prominant at the end.

I think Hammond would have done a better job with the presentation however.

Regards,

Dan

Rising Storm -Name is in the credits :D - To Do scenario, where you go along at 50mph in a Pendo? Who would play it?

There's a saying that goes 'If you see a red light, please stop. If you see a flashing red light, for god's sake, stop!'

@MuzTrem, TopGear is repeated Wednesday BBC2 7pm or Saturday BBC 3 7pm. Both are the same episode shown on Sunday.
