At last after around 40 years of closure Elland may be on the way to having a new railway station, at long last.

Never heard of the place. But if the new developments can supply enough business for a new station to be prosperous and viable then good luck. :)

It's between Brighouse and Halifax.

Yeh, it is and the original station was near the Elland signal box (still in situ) and also the Elland tunnel portal.

The building society? Ah, yes. I know. There's also a Forfars and a Co-Op there iirc.
