If only they'd get some decent traction... But I hear that peaks are not particularly welcome there because of some unpleasantness that occurred about 15 years ago, or something like that. Think I'll stick to the Mid Norfolk.
If they are going to insist on running kettles on diesel gala weekends, then I'm all in favour of having the gala on thurs/fri. Think I'll stick to the Mid Norfolk, they know how to run a preserved railway...

You can clearly see my brother in the cab of 37906
Don't think I'll be attending the SVR gala as they tend to avoid sulzers...

Re: Its
Goes to show how accurate the rumour mill is! But then, the kettle veg probably couldn't tell the difference between a rotcart and a peak. they should Close the King & Castle and the Railwaymens Arms on a diesel gala and have a dry railway with fizzy soft drink's.
Sometime during next year 37905 and 37906 are set to meet at a diesel gala or is it the year after i cant remember but i know someone in the C37LG would be barmy enough to organise it, just aswell victoria's still got a restriction on it..

1062 is running bearing in mind the brakes and traction motor's, and wheels need looking at. 1013 is a runner its just drained for the winter it'll be back Clagging like a monster again.
Ironically and coincidently i believe they are allowed to run the 27 this time. There's the hymek which is awaiting parts and a new cab.
If the MRB can get a 40 and a 50 that havent seen a spanner for a few years coaxed into life i think the SVR witll have a fare go.
from what ive been told so far is.
37, 47?, 50 D444 and possibly 50035 if its passed its exam by the sumer, 52 (1013, 1062), 55?, and a possible 56. i wouldnt mind better there'll be a peak there too, but these are just rumour's.

Really? Does it work, gotta be years since it last ran, has it even worked this century? It or another small sulzer would be nice, there are engines smaller than 37s...salopiangrowler wrote: Ironically and coincidently i believe they are allowed to run the 27 this time.
Yes, Fragonset EH engines and four or five kettles out like last time is not going to attract me.
One each of 50/55 is quite enough aswell, been there done that with three, four 50s...
