Class 73's, because they can go just about anywhere, duel powered as well, very usefull these days.

Close second, 08/09 because they are just about the most usefull little locos ever built.

The thumper doesn't pick up a current...

My vote would go to 10203, but that isn't on the list, so a 50 will have to do.

I voted 73s, but that's because I like electric traction! But I do always see the 73s as electrics, not diesels.

Some of us never got to see Peaks in action when we were kids :(
To some extent it matters not what manufacturer and which power plant they had, they're still not steamers. On that basis, I'll take anything in original BR green livery, but it's still a 31 on top with a 47, I suppose as backup.

Shoulda painted 'em Royal Blue anyway :D

Tough call.

I do love 50's but........
37's rock as well.......
although 40's were just beasty......
& of course the old 08/09 ,that go's without saying.sadly getting less & less...

Hmmm
Not 31's though, although I like them they just used to annoy me when I was trying to signal them years ago.Half of them wouldnt pull skin off a rice pudding & trying to regulate a path for them required skills & even more luck.

So I'm gonna have to say 20's (in a pair of course),good memories of those at my first signal box hauling coal.

Although if it was all diesels rather than just EE stuff it would be more like this.
-Class 47
-Class 56
-Class 20.
