Hows about letting people know of anything special or nice running out on NR,keep people who like the older stuff happy.

Personally I was driving Chester-Cardiff & back (only a 175 so I aint mentioning that)

1:At around Craven arms saw 47851 (Two tone green) with an LMS livered observation coach.

2:At Cardiff in east siding ,Fragonset 31,might of been 31545 (was braking for cardiff station at the time) Anyway it was in kinda intercity livery with fragonset markings.

3: 37425 in Canton depot on a set of mk2's as normal.Looks lush still in LL.

4: ATW's class 121 on the cardiff bay shuttle, actually was going over the top of me as I left in my 175.

5: Quite a few class 60's knocking around on various freights between Cardiff & Salop both ways.

6: 47851 & observation coach (AGAIN) Stabled in Abbey forgate yard as I left work at 19:30 tonight & I hadnt got my camera.Shame as it was illuminated great from the yard lights & the football ground floodlights.Would of been a nice shot.

Because certain people moan when people post "gen"

See this thread to see why people get put off.

I seem to be getting woken up by steam engines and other railtours at early hours on the weekends through Codsall, they count?

Had Princess Elizabeth, a Virgin 57, a few 47s, a Fred (rare for the line) and so on all come through recently, with class 40 and a few more due.

Some very good links there, actually one of them (C.Instone) is a photo site from a fella who used to work in the same signalbox as me when I was on that side.

I saw a 220 through the former site of Kidlington station yesterday - ho hum. Though a day earlier I was convinced I heard the whistle of a steam loco - sadly, it never materialised. That said, I haven't a clue what the network is like around here, so there may be a junction or something a few miles away.
