I'd be very surprised if EWS (UK) were to recieve any of these - not least the fact that it's a bit big. The Class 67 connection is more than coincidental - Vossloh bought Alstom's Valencia factory, where the Skips were built, and with it elements of the Prima design. Both designs have GM '710'-series engines.
Now shrinking a G2000-4BB to UK gauge might just be possible - 3500hp B-B Diesel-Hydraulic anyone?

Would a Bo Bo be suitable for Heavy Haul work?
As the 67 is a Bo Bo and they have to double head them on Enterprise and coal workings?
We had 67s doing the Eastleigh Furzebrook Gas Emptys but not loaded to my knowledge as they cudnt cope with the weight up certain parts of the dorset route. Was commonly a 60 turn and before that a 58.

Ah thanks for explaining that.mattvince wrote:Ah, but a Skip is a 125mph-geared machine - all speed and no tractive effort. G2000-BBs are 90mph machines with 282kN of starting effort - twice that of a Skip. The lower the gearing, the more TE is gained at the cost of speed - case in point: 66/0 and 66/6.
