I am amased that this is still going. As soon as something happens which states young people as a whole have done something to a train in some way, either jumped in front, their view of a new lick of paint ect ect. Then when that has been posted, every young person will say "im a young person and i do not do that" ect. I bet i know what the next post will be...

my opinion is that some are left with a bitter tast after watching things like Thomas the Tank where every other episode has something like a derailment etc...
then you have to remember... not all the time but alot of the time when you were told you couldnt do something or couldnt go somewhere you got upset/angry yeah...
well could be the same.. i mean i get annoyed myself with the fact i cant go anywhere i want and watch the trains pass cos its too close or blocked off due to safety measures and that makes kids angry and rebelious and want to cause problems etc cos they arnt normally allowed to or cos they are angry cos they dont have freedom to go where and when they want

I hate buses, but I don't go trashing the bus shelters and write graffiti on the side of buses. If possible I use the train to go anywhere it can be a comfortable means of travel which is 9/10 faster than the bus.joea1 wrote:Only simple people come to the conclusion that just because people are not hardcore enthusiasts, they must hate trains. Perhaps those who are not enthusiasts just see trains as a means to travel..... Why can people not understand that?

another thing that annoy's me about other teenagers and sorry to say it is mostly chav's is espically Graffity espically on Preserved railway's,
As on the first santa special in 2003 in which i was helping at on the ESR, some of the coaches in a siding along side the running line were painted in graffti during a space of less then a week, also which made it worse that the coaches wern't even owned by the railway but by the VSOE??
Maybe these other teenagers should get into their skulls that they are idiots?

Yes i've had that while working on the NYMR. The coaches were in the sidings parallel to the mainline. The sad thing is that they have no respect for our herritage be it railways or any other subject.220389 wrote:another thing that annoy's me about other teenagers and sorry to say it is mostly chav's is espically Graffity espically on Preserved railway's,

But the thing that makes it worse about graffti on presevered railway's is when the coaches aren't even owed by the railway, and most off the time they are left or put some where else

Here is Spalding our local council hired a"graffiti artist" to show youngsters how graffiti could be an art form. Since then there has been an outbreak of large scale graffiti in inappropriate places. Though of a higher standard of workmanship it is offensive and will cost thousands of pounds to remove. Personally, I would like the opportunity to do some live graffiti on the perpetrators. Though that is probably an illicit comment these days.

I had a dream that I broke into the house where the London 'tagger' T.O.X lives and I was throwing tins of paint around everywhere. Perhaps I should consult a doctor.Tonysmedley wrote:Here is Spalding our local council hired a"graffiti artist" to show youngsters how graffiti could be an art form.
