You don't necessarily have to apply to the graduate recruitment schemes - I got a job in NR engineering after replying to an advert for a that position.

...or maybe not!! Every cloud has a silver lining!!

EWS has invited me to the next stage of their graduate scheme at the end of this month which is an assessment centre (first stage assessment centre) which deals with appitute tests and to see if I'm mentally able to get behind the controls of their trains!

Here's hoping (again)

James :)

Don't try to get there by train as there's another strike due on that day.

James I forgot to mention that the LU scheme (and I presume others) are open for internal applicants with degrees too, indeed 2 of the 9 grads on my scheme are. The schemes may still be open to you if you take a job with one of the companies whose scheme you did not get on to...and you will then know something of the way the company works so will almost have an advantage.

But dont worry, you should get EWS anyway! Best of luck!

Game over, had enough!

Went to EWS assessment centre today, did all the test but I was told that I was not upto speed with the concertation test where I had to strike through dots that was groups of 4, did that ok but not fast enough however (I was going at a good speed by the way)

So now, taking a complete break, hitting Europe and will see what things are at the start of September.

Can one of mods delete this thread, had enough of job hunting at the mo!
