Other than being totally shocked at Firsts naming policy and huge waste of capital by rebranding all the stock and infrastructure I thought it would be good to come up with some names to truely describe First groups new venture: First . Connect, First Capital Disconnect and First ..

It's a stupid name Thameslink has been around for years back into nationalisation even, this is worthless rebranding and probably t the tax payers expense.

It's not being entirely rebranded - integral Thameslink branding is remaining, such as station names.

To be honest One sounds pretty decent.

And "Southern Railway" is the best franchise name out there. Shame it's such a lame excuse for a franchise, though! 'one' is a stupid name though - I'd have called it "Great Eastern" personally.

Last Capital Con is what I've heard it referred to as mostly.

I don't know what they could have done though, as the Thameslink brand doesn't really apply to the Great Northern services - not pre Thameslink 3000 anyway.

i totaly agree
the route is still thameslink but the operator has to join up thinking in operation of the 2 segments there by giving one voice for the operation so to speak trather than 1 parent company , 2 mini operators, 2 route sections

Kings Cross, City and West Hampstead Thameslink will remain Thameslink stations, it'll cost too much money to rename them.

What will St Pancras be called though? Probably just "St Pancras" I suppose.

Good to hear that First Great Western Link and whatever the other one are will all be called First Great Western..... Would sound even better without the First bit at the front.
