Southeastern and Eastbourne

Post by southcoasttrains »

Anyone in the rail industy (especially Kent) know anything about Southeastern running into Eastbourne again?

I know Hastings drivers and conductors used to know the route into Eastbourne and the Marshlink when it was BR and Network Southeast and the early days of Connex.

All this sparked up when a 375/6 went from Hastings to Charing Cross via Eastbourne last monday, when the snow knocked trees over between Wadhurst and Tunbridge Wells.

What route did it go after Eastbourne? Lewes and up the mainline?

Never knew the drivers where passed out for that.

I asume they are now passed out for SE 375s? There was a time they where not because of the advanced computer things- all very petty indeed.
