Hehe, I've been here

Somewhere on the firing ranges there should be the remains of a Lightning fighter plane.

Regards,

Dan

Totally (well almost) of topic. if you follow the Clapham to Willesdon Line you go past the chelsea ground, it looks like it did at the weekend plus at barca game.

Haven't found Dan's Lighting at Shoeburyness, but I did find this: caught on camera!

Looks to me like a USAF Lockheed U-2, proportions are right, shape is right. RAF Fairford is the location.

Haha! I spotted that after I started wandering around the country after finding Shoeburyness!

Try RAF St Athan in south Wales, just outside Cardiff there are a few bits and pieces there.

Coltishall in Norfolk is also available although it has a split down the middle between two different sets of satellite images.

Regards,

Dan

viperskil wrote:On what i was saying is that it is in the eurostar yard so i thought it was a eurostar set I have connections in the company who can confirm it is their yard if your not certain.

Bearing in mind that we maintain trains their and we split them on a regular basis is it that supprising? Halon bottles in the M1 Maybe thats why it's got no powercars? (It's a depot, passengers never see it! Unless they fall asleep in the toilets on the last train!)

However their is a stange join at NPI, and you can tell the image is old... It's still got our 08 in it... :)

Connections?

The shots at Heathrow can be dated to a certain period.....there's a Concorde on one of the stands either pre- or post- flight!
